MEET LI ZIQI, THE CHINESE VLOGGER KNOWN FOR HER QUIET RURAL VIDEOS

Vlogs these days have become a cesspool of mundane, often mediocre content amplified by a whole lot of noise and inanities—Li Ziqi, who has 14.9 million subscribers, is the exact opposite of that. Her videos feature life in rural China where she is seen cooking food from scratch, taking ingredients right from her backyard and in the forest outside her door. She presents these videos in Zen-like quiet, highlighting the mesmerizing nature all around her. It’s a balm to soothe the soul on a platform made for distraction. It is for this reason that she has inspired a host of other vloggers, one of them being our own Gayyem Ben who also makes quiet videos in his town in the Mountain Province. We should really have more content like LI Ziqi’s to balance the noise on YT.
